YkY: Leadership

The guild GM is Idealist. Major guild decisions are made based on the majority rule of our council (Idealist, Pathetic, Claeric, and Shinkou) -- however the majority of issues the guild encounters is normally brought before the entire guild where they are discussed until the Guild Officers can agree on a proper course of action.

Senior members of the guild are people who have either been with the guild since its inception or have proven themselves to be reliable members of the guild.

All new recruits go through an initiation period. During this time the guild will be getting to know the recruit while the recruit gets to know the rest of the guild. After the initiation period is over the recruit will be promoted to full guild-member. Priority for raids is always given to the senior guild members first. Veterans > Raid-core > Backup/ Applicants.


YkY: Code of Conduct

» Be courteous to your fellow guild mates and gamers. Personality clashes happen. Please try to avoid letting that clash happen over guild chat. Also, don't be a jerk to non-guild members. Even if they are Alliance. :) You represent the guild. Try not to make us all look like jerks just because someone pissed you off.

» No whining. This game will never be fair. If the loot you wanted didn't drop -- or if someone else got it -- don't cry about it. If you have a sincere complaint about the way things are handled there are more constructive ways of dealing with it than having a tantrum over raid or guild chat. Please, act like an adult.

» Keep swearing to a minimum. Especially over Ventrilo. Many guildies have children and they don't raid with their headphones on specifically so they can hear their family in case they are needed. Please try to be courteous to them and refrain from swearing over Ventrilo. Outbursts happen, but don't let it turn into a habit. Excessive swearing may result in being kicked out of the group/raid.

» Keep the guild up-to-date on what is happening with you. If you are unable to make a raid, or won't be able to play for a while, do let the guild know.

» Be willing to help the guild out when we need you. No, we don't expect you to abandon the people you are grouped with in the Shattered Halls, etc. -- but if you are in battlegrounds or farming, we do expect you to be willing to help out if we need you.

» Use the guild message board. Guild information, events, needs, concerns, etc. are often discussed on the guild forums and various guild decisions are usually made based on the input of our guild members. Your voice is very important. We expect you to regularly check the message board. Post your thoughts, ideas, complaints, suggestions, etc.

» Please use English. Internet shorthand is okay, but it can get annoying very fast. Please try not to use it.

» Have fun. Be willing to laugh at yourself. Don't take everything personally. Relax. It's okay to make mistakes as long as you learn from them.


YkY: Raiding & Loot

Raid Times

Our raid schedule is Tuesday, Thursday, Sunday, and Monday — from 6:30 to 11:00 PM CST (Server time) — with off-nights being used for Karazhan and/or Heroics.

If you wish to raid, you are expected to be ready to AT RAID TIME. This means your armor is repaired, you have all the consumables you may need, the reagents necessary for raid buffs, lots of water and/or food created, plenty of spare soul, stones and spare armor (if applicable).

If you are not ready at raid time, you are not only letting everyone down by being late, but you are showing yourself to be unreliable — which can (and will) effect future invites. However, if something comes up and you are unable to make it on time, DO let the guild know via the website. But don't make it a habit.

Raid Invites

Raid priority is generally based on the following factors:

» Guild Rank -- this generally means Veterans > Raid-Core > Backup/applicants. It's possible that an initiate will get a raid invite, but don't be surprised if you don't.

» Teamwork -- no one person downs a boss. Any success that the guild has is a direct result of teamwork. If you demonstrate a bad attitude during a raid that is detrimental to the overall team, or if you're just excessively obstinate, it is likely that you will be passed over for the next raid (or at worst -- you will be removed from the guild).

» Raid Balance -- this should be self-explanatory. There may be times when you are asked to sit out of a raid due to an abundance of your class type (tank, healer or DPS) or because the utility that you bring to the table would be better served by another class. Blame Blizzard.

» Being Raid Ready -- this means just what it says. At raid time, you are ready. You aren't running around Org buying consumables while begging for a summon. You are ready to raid AT raid time. The only person who has "permission" to be late is the raid leader who is most likely dealing with several whispers from guildies, gathering any necessary consumables and/or reviewing raid strategies. YOU, however, are expected to be there at raid time and ready to go.

» Quick Recovery -- this means that upon the event of a raid wipe, you recover quickly. If you are a healer, you rez the classes that can assist with rezing, then mana users, then the non-mana users. You buff quickly. You hand out healthstones, water and/or food quickly. You reapply poison or oils quickly. Basically: you recover QUICKLY. Slow wipe recovery means less time working on progression. Do not be the person that slows down the raid.

Karazhan & Heroics

We use Blizzard's standard Need/Greed system. However, we expect you to roll on gear that suits whatever raid role that you fulfill.

For example, a bear druid who is tanking can roll on tanking leather, rings, weapons, etc, that are suitable and an upgrade. However, he should pass on melee DPS items to rogues or other classes, as his primary purpose is to tank. If no one needs the items, then feel free to roll.

Do not roll 'need' on sidegrades. What is a sidegrade to you might be an upgrade for someone else. Always ask first.

If an upgrade drops and you need it, speak up. Do not assume that everyone in the group/raid knows what gear you have or need. We suggest that you link your current gear and state over Vent that you will be rolling 'Need.'

In summary, communicate with the raid before rolling on an item, know which gear is a true upgrade and not merely a side grade, and use your common sense. 25-Man Raids

For 25 man raids, loot is distributed by an officer distribution system. The raid leader will link all the drops in raid chat, and the officers present will decide who gets each item. Factors that influence the officers decision include, but are not limited to, recent attendance, performance, attitude, guild participation, and current item. If an obvious decision cannot be made (i.e. awarding an item to 2 or more players who have equal gear, performance, and attendance), players will be told to do a 1-100 /roll, and the highest wins the item.

In rare situations where many people will want an item (such as the Magtheridon's head quest rewards), interested players will do a simple 1-100 roll, and the highest roll wins.

If you are interested in a particular drop, please link the master looter your current gear that the drop will replace. Preference will be given to players with blue quality items. With Tier 5 gear, preference will be given to players with Tier 4 or equivalent quality gear. This is to reward long-term guildies who have helped the guild progress through the Tier 4 instances.

Lastly, do not become upset or frustrated if an item you want is given to someone else. We try to be as fair as possible, and award loot to players who help the guild the most, and who need the upgrade the most. Awarded loot is kept track of, and it is likely that if you didn't receive an item the first time, the next will automatically go to the next person.

» Deadly Boss Mods - Boss mods for all raid bosses. Includes timers.

» Omen - Omen ThreatMeter is like a damage meter, except it records your threat. By monitoring all the abilities you use and checking your talents, armor set bonuses and buffs, the addon can recreate the threat list of a mob. This makes tank transitions simple, and allows DPS to maximize their damage without pulling aggro.


YkY: Suggested Mods

The mods listed below are not required by any means, but they are suggested. Many of us feel that they are helpful. If you're more comfortable using a different mod, or none at all, please free to do so. Also, if you would like to suggest a mod for guild-wide use, please let us know via the forums.

» Incubator - Mob respawn timers.

» MainAssist - Similar to the CTRA assist targets, this will allow you to customize who you will be assisting. You can set it to show the MT targets, MA targets and whomever else if you so choose. This mod works in raids and 5-mans and will synch with CTRA targets or allow you to ignore them. Excellent for healing, damage and tanking classes.

» SW Stats - SW Stats is a damage/heal (and more) meter addon designed to be very customizable in what you want to see with a built-in Sync channel that is running in the background.

» Natur EnemyCastBar - Displays a replication of your targets and focus spell casting bar on your UI. Also displays timers for gains (Buffs/HoTs), cooldowns, diminishing returns, DoTs and debuffs like stuns, banishes or polymorphs.


YkY: Guild Bank

In addition to being able to access the guild bank in-game, you may also view the contents of the bank via the Warcraft Armory.

Bank Goal

The goal of the guild bank is to assist guild members (non initiates) with any of their crafting needs as it pertains to the overall success of the guild in PvE. This means that the bank may be used as a resource for making consumables, enchants, gems and/or gear.

The bank is designed to help the guild succeed in PvE content. Do not use the resources of the guild bank for your own personal gain. If you are caught doing this (and we can track deposits and withdrawals), you will be removed from the guild.

Bank Resources

The bank has a decent stock of motes, primals, herbs, ore, cloth, leather and gems. There are also a few BoE greens and blues available to guildies. The guild bank is basically the middle-man between one guild member and another.

Using the Guild Bank

Guild members are welcome to use the resources in the guild bank at any time. Currently there is no "reward" for donating items to the bank. You won't get any "DKP" for it and you won't get any special consideration.

If you donate to the bank you are doing so out of the kindness of your heart with the purpose of helping out your guild and fellow guild mates succeed in content. That is why we stress that if you take from the bank, you also (please) give something of equal value back.

For example, pretend you're a skinner/leatherworker and you need some primals to craft something -- you take primals from the bank and in return you donate the mats to make a repair bot or maybe a couple stacks of Golden Fish Sticks, etc.

Gold is an acceptable "trade," but we'd much rather get material donations to assist other crafters, engineers, alchemists, etc. with their needs, etc.

Raid Drops & The Guild Bank

Any drops that get disenchanted, or any raw material items that drop in a raid (such as Soul Essence, Motes, Void Crystals, etc.), should be depositied into the guild bank at the end of the raid.

Currently, we are also asking that any green BoE items that drop in raids (and that no one needs) be sent to the guild bank. We are using these BoE greens to help stock up on our supply of enchanting materials. If you are an enchanter, go ahead and DE those greens and send the enchanting mats to the bank.

Questions Regarding the Guild Bank

With the guild bank on the Armory you can be sure that the inventory and gold of the bank is monitored by the entire guild. If you try to rip off the guild bank you're ultimately trying to rip off every member of the guild and that's not going to win you any popularity contests. If you're uncertain how to use the guild bank, don't hesitate to ask a senior guild member -- or, better yet, a guild officer.
